Neurolabs is rewriting the playbook for retail execution with Visual AI. We’ve just raised $7.8M in Series A funding led by Nauta, with follow-on from existing investors LAUNCHub, Lunar Ventures, and Techstart. Our platform helps some of the world’s top CPG brands unlock real-time, SKU-level shelf visibility—without fragile audits or slow tools.

We’re now hiring a Head of AI to help us push the frontier of Visual AI even further, bringing production-quality performance to everyday supermarket shelves—on mobile, on-device, and at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive the roadmap for our applied computer vision models, from synthetic training to real-time inference—optimised for broad applicability across CPG use cases and retail environments
  • Lead model development across detection and recognition tasks, ensuring robustness, low-latency performance, and consistent accuracy under varied shelf conditions
  • Advance our synthetic data generation and training pipeline, scaling scenario diversity and improving generalisation through domain adaptation and robust pretraining strategies
  • Collaborate with Product, Infra, and Customer teams to deliver adaptable, high-performance Visual AI solutions that integrate seamlessly into field workflows
  • Mentor and grow a team of engineers working on scalable model architectures and automation systems
  • Help design and deploy a highly generalisable large vision model (LVM) tailored for retail, balancing size, speed, and reliability across dynamic product and shelf configurations

Requirements

  • You’ve shipped machine learning models into production at scale—ideally on edge or mobile devices
  • You have experience with synthetic data and large vision models (or are excited to dive in)
  • You care deeply about practical impact, not just research novelty
  • You translate big goals into clear technical direction, then lead by example—moving fast, collaborating well, and turning ideas into reliable systems through rapid iteration and accountability

Bonus if you have experience with:

  • Building and leading high-performing teams
  • Working in CPG, retail tech, or applied computer vision in the wild

Benefits

  • Hybrid working (three in-office days per week near King’s Cross, London).
  • Equity options available.
  • Private medical insurance (AXA Health).
  • 34 days of annual leave (including public holidays).
  • Pension scheme (5% employee + 3% employer contribution).
  • Annual company retreat abroad.

London, England, United Kingdom
