We are seeking an experienced Hardware Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in architecting, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and efficient hardware solutions. This is an incredible opportunity to join an experienced founding team who have collectively raised $1bn+ in capital across several previously successful ventures and lead a key workstream within the business.

In this role, you will work closely with a dedicated team of talented researchers and engineers to enhance our hardware capabilities. The focus will be on implementing robust practices and technologies to optimize the performance and reliability of our hardware systems.

Core Responsibilities:

· Design and implement the necessary infrastructure to support FPGA+processor systems like the AMD Versal or Zynq Ultrascale+.

· Collaborate with research and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of hardware solutions.

· Monitor and ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of hardware systems.

· Develop and maintain automated tools for system provisioning, monitoring, and operations.

· Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in hardware design and optimization.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • · Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Master’s degree preferred.
  • · At least 3+ years of experience in a hardware lead role, with a significant focus on FPGA+processor systems.
  • · Hands-on experience with optimizing algorithms to execute on FPGA+processor systems like the AMD Versal or Zynq Ultrascale+.
  • · Proficient in using major hardware design tools and software.
  • · Strong understanding of hardware design and optimization techniques.
  • · Skilled in scripting and automation using relevant languages.
  • · Familiarity with hardware constraints and deployment challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • · Exposure to compiler stacks like LLVM.
  • · Experience with MATLAB.
  • · Exposure to running LLMs on modern GPUs.
