About us:Daedalean is a Zürich-based startup founded by experienced engineers who want to completely revolutionize air travel within the next decade. We combine computer vision, deep learning, and robotics to develop full “level-5” autonomy for flying vehicles. Your role:Contribute to the development of our own hardware that is critical to running the first machine learning-based avionics products.
What will you do:
Design and development of digital and analog Circuits, PCBs and FPGAs including power, sensor, and RF design in accordance with RTCA DO-254.
Circuit analysis, and real-world verification - on the lab bench and in the air.
Hands-on involvement in all stages of prototype and product development, from design and validation to implementation and testing.
Design and implementation of inter- and intrasystem communications solutions (i.e., integrating systems via CAN, UART, USB, I2C, SPI, SSI, RS-232, RS-485, ARINC-429, MIL-STD-1553, etc.).
Manage relationships with external hardware partners.
Compile and create documents set for certification compliance for AEH per RTCA DO-254.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
2+ years of professional experience in hardware design.
MS degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working within the safety-critical avionics hardware frameworks of RTCA DO-254 or similar functional safety standards etc is a plus.
Good understanding of computers and programming languages (at least C/C++, Python, VHDL and Assembly).
Ability to work autonomously and achieve the goals.
