Lead research projects in AI, exploring new algorithms, techniques, and methodologies to solve challenging problems and advance the state-of-the-art.
Conduct experiments, analyse data, and evaluate the performance of AI models using benchmark datasets and real-world applications.
Design and implement scalable and efficient algorithms for training and inference, considering factors such as computational complexity, memory usage, and runtime performance.
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI algorithms into production systems and optimize end-to-end performance.
Optimize AI models and algorithms for deployment in resource-constrained environments, such as edge devices or cloud platforms.
Communicate research findings, technical concepts, and project updates effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experiment with new tools, frameworks, and platforms to explore innovative approaches and techniques in AI.
Drive innovation within the organization by proposing and championing new ideas, projects, and initiatives that leverage AI technology to create value.
Implement and validate predictive and prescriptive models, create and maintain statistical models with a focus on data.
Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Founder’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
Hands-on experience in application of machine learning, statistical techniques in one or more of below areas:
Deep learning, LLMs, NLPs, Gen AI, vision computing solutions
Logistics network optimization
Inventory management & forecasting
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI research, such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or MATLAB.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to formulate and solve complex technical challenges.
Demonstrated ability to drive research projects from conception to completion, delivering impactful results.
Passion for AI technology and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Ability to look at things differently, debug, troubleshoot, design and implement solutions to complex technical issues.
Basic understanding of Cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
