ABOUT THE TEAM
Join our dynamic global SAP Enterprise Architects team within the new SAP Customer Services & Delivery board area. At a global scale, we are the business partners to the regional Enterprise Architect teams who help our customers to drive digital transformation using cutting-edge SAP technologies, advancing the RISE with SAP initiative, promoting Clean Core principles, and accelerating SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) adoption. We support customer engagements globally, focusing on board-mandated and critical customer situations in close collaboration with the regional teams. We excel in structuring new and ambiguous problems and helping our customers to solve them.   
YOUR FUTURE ROLE
As the Global Principal Enterprise Architect – “Architecting for AI Lead” (f/m/d) you will lead the development and global scaling of AI-driven enterprise architecture services ensuring they deliver measurable business benefits. Acting as a transformation partner for customers and a thought leader in AI architecture your key responsibilities include:

• Design and scale AI architecture approaches in alignment with enterprise goals and priorities across CS&D and beyond, setting global standards and best practices and driving quantifiable business outcomes.
• Guide customers in adopting scalable AI solutions within their cloud strategies ensuring global consistency and impact.
• Collaborate closely with selected CxOs to ensure AI architectures are strategically aligned with business objectives, driving value and performance.
• Identify and develop (in conjunction with other teams) risk mitigation strategies in AI adoption, ensuring secure, reliable, and effective AI deployments that deliver sustainable business benefits.
• Develop and maintain scalable AI architecture approaches that reflect global and regional needs ensuring consistent delivery of business value across markets.
• Clearly communicate the value proposition of AI architectures, guiding customers in realizing and measuring the business benefits of AI adoption.

YOUR PROFILE
Transformation, Architectural & Solution Skills:

• Experience delivering enterprise business transformation projects and aligning customer priorities with target architecture, roadmap & business benefits.
• In-depth knowledge of the SAP Solution Portfolio with a focus on translating complex business processes into actionable strategies that deliver measurable value, particularly via Embedded AI capabilities.
• Strategic insight into BTP capabilities, focusing on deriving business value through Extensibility, Integrations and Automations via the BTP AI Foundation. 
• Strong understanding of Cloud & Clean Core Strategy, familiarity with SAP LeanIX, Signavio and Cloud ALM.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP's Business AI roadmap, including an extensive network within the Business AI Organization identifying use cases, and piloting AI-driven solutions to enhance business processes.

Must-Have Requirements:

• 10+ years in customer-facing roles ideally across in field roles (CS&D and customer success as e.g., Project Manager, Architect), with experience in end-to-end architectural design for hybrid solution landscapes.
• Proven thought leadership in establishing and leading field communities, with a specific emphasis on fostering AI innovation and architectural best practices.
• Experienced in strategically aligning architectural decisions with business benefits, employing a robust methodology that combines architectural principles with investment considerations to optimize ROI from technology investments.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills (in English) at the senior management and C-levels, both within an IT team and across business functions.
• Proficiency in German is a plus.
• Mindset for Strategic Thinking, Continuous Learning, and Business Acumen.

Nice-to-Have Requirements:

• Professional training and certification (e.g., SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework featured by LeanIX EAM, SAP Certified Professional-Enterprise Architect [P_SAPEA_2023], TOGAF) as a plus.
