Our Global AI Group is responsible for the research and development of all AI applications of our animal monitoring solutions. The group spreads across multiple geographies and businesses, such as Ruminants, Companion Animals, Swine and Aqua. It’s a diverse group, comprised from multiple professions such as Algorithm Engineers, Data Scientists, Animal research veterinarians, data annotators and an operational body. We master diverse technologies in signals, vision and data to provide comprehensive solutions, ranging from embedded systems to on-premise and cloud solutions.

Requirements

  • M.Sc. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer science, Mathematics or Physics
  • 15+ years' experience
  • Experience in managing an AI group for medical devices, medical applications, or healthcare
  • Management of a group of 40+ with multiple concurrent product developments and research activities
  • Experienced with complete development cycle from a developer, team lead and group manager perspective
  • Ability to define and implement work methodologies, cross-organizational processes and drive innovation
  • Good knowledge of Machine Learning Workflow, frameworks, infrastructures and best-practices
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the global AI strategy for animal monitoring solutions across diverse segments, aligning initiatives with business objectives
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of AI professionals, creating an innovative and collaborative environment
  • Oversee AI research initiatives and direct the development of applications, ensuring timely delivery while meeting real market needs
  • Work closely with product management and engineering teams to integrate AI technologies into products and services, driving knowledge sharing across the organization
  • Establish KPIs for AI projects, monitor progress, drive efficiency via tools and methodology adoption
  • Report outcomes to senior management, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making

Preferences

  • Experience in animal health industry or knowledge in animal science
  • Working in a cross-culture environment
  • Managing products from multiple technological domains - Data Science, Signal processing and Computer Vision
