About the Role:
As a Gen AI Health Psychologist you will play a pivotal role in developing frameworks to ensure the safety and quality of generative AI systems, with a particular focus on protecting minors. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Product Integration, you will leverage your expertise in child and adolescent development, crisis intervention, and health information quality to create impactful, safe, and scalable AI solutions. Day to Day:
Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for generative AI systems focusing on safety, compliance, and quality that prioritize safety for minors and address crisis-related scenarios.
Build frameworks to evaluate AI outputs for adherence to health information quality standards and child developmental appropriateness, ensuring accuracy, safety, and user benefit.
Evaluate health-related AI outputs to ensure adherence to health information quality standards with a focus on user benefit.
Collaborate with legal, compliance, and product teams to mitigate risks related to minor safety, ethical concerns, and applicable legal standards.
Oversee processes involving contract psychologists for AI safety evaluation, including onboarding, training, and performance management.
Provide clinical input into prompt engineering, validation processes, and crisis-related messaging strategies to ensure accessibility, health literacy, and sensitivity for adolescent users.
Stay current on applicable legal standards, industry best practices, and emerging trends in generative AI, health information quality, and clinical safety.
What you bring to the table:
Active and valid license to practice psychology (PhD, PsyD, or equivalent) with 2+ years of experience in clinical psychology, risk assessment, or related fields.
Demonstrated experience evaluating health-related AI outputs, including risk mitigation, validation, and adherence to compliance standards.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, data science, design, and legal stakeholders.
Strong background in creating and maintaining SOPs in clinical or AI settings to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards at large scale.
It would be great if you also had:
Experience managing external clinical contractors or teams (e.g., psychologists or safety reviewers).
Knowledge of generative AI systems, including prompt engineering, validation techniques, and user experience optimization.
Experience translating complex clinical and technical findings into user-focused product requirements.
Familiarity with quantitative evaluation pipelines or health information quality frameworks.
Prior experience launching or supporting digital health products through concept, evaluation, and market implementation.

Pay range for this position is $155,000-180,000, but may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
