We're seeking an experienced Full-Stack Engineer to join our team and help evolve our customer-facing web application. You'll work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI facial recognition technology and user experience, building features that make our facial recognition capabilities accessible and valuable to our government and law enforcement clients.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain our customer-facing web application using React/TypeScript (frontend) and Python/Flask (backend)

• Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate facial recognition capabilities into secure, user-friendly interfaces

• Design and implement RESTful APIs that connect our AI facial recognition systems with frontend components

• Optimize database queries and data models using SQLAlchemy

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical architecture decisions

• Troubleshoot issues across the stack and implement robust error handling

• Write clean, maintainable code with appropriate test coverage

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in full-stack web development

• Strong proficiency with React and TypeScript for frontend development

• Solid Python experience, particularly with Flask and SQLAlchemy

• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation

• Understanding of relational databases and SQL

• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote environment

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AI/ML applications or facial recognition technologies

• Knowledge of security best practices for handling sensitive biometric data

• Experience working with government or law enforcement clients

• Experience with WebSockets for real-time applications

• Background in UX/UI design principles

The expected annualized salary compensation for this position is between $130,000 - $150,000 with participation in our stock equity plan, and an annual at-target incentive bonus opportunity of at least 10% of salary at 100% achievement (actual achievement % will vary). This estimated salary represents the typical starting rate of candidates hired in a similar role.
