1. CONTEXT/INTRODUCTION

European Commission agency which implements reliable, modern and high-quality information systems in order to support the full cycle of Grant Management of the research family for Horizon Europe, Horizon 2020 and common FP7 applications and for the other Programmes and entities supported in the Commission in the context of eGrants.

The scope of these IT applications covers the complete grant cycle, from call definition, publication, participant data management, submission, expert selection, evaluation, grants management, reporting and programme evaluation.

The GoFund wiki provides a single entry point to all the Business and IT information for our internal users.

2. DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS

• Development of front-end website architecture.

• Design of user interactions on web pages.

• Development of back-end website applications.

• Implement core business logic.

• Creation of servers and databases for functionality

• Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.

• Cross-platform optimisation.

• Design responsive applications.

• Design and develop APIs.

• Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.

• Taking lead on projects, as needed.

• Maintenance of code integrity and organisation.

• Writing clean, functional code on the front- and back-end.

• Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify

  areas for improvement.

• Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues.

• Meet both technical and consumer needs.

• Write technical documentation.

4. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

The following additional skills and knowledge are required for the performance of theabove-listed tasks:

• Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

• Good knowledge with JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as Bootstrap.

• Proficiency with Angular 2+

• Proficiency with back-end languages and frameworks such as Java, Spring boot and

  Hibernate.

• Good knowledge of J2EE

• Good knowledge of database technology such as Oracle, MongoDB.

• Good knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture.

• Good knowledge of applications design.

• Good knowledge of modelling tools.

• Knowledge of interoperability technology (e.g. web services, message oriented

  middleware, service oriented bus).

• Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment.

• Good knowledge of agile methodology.

• Experience with Atlassian suite (Jira, Bamboo, Bitbucket)

• Experience with Junit and Mockito

  NON-Technical skills:

5. SPECIFIC EXPERTISE

Following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:

o Good knowledge of AWS serverless features (vod, s3)
o Good knowledge of automatic testing (cypress, karma)
o Good knowledge of asynchronous jobs (quartz) and batch processing o Good knowledge of sql (oracle, mysql), pl/sql for oracle

o Good knowledge of maven configuration and management 

o Familiarity with docker usage
o Familiarity with Linux OS
o Familiarity with Git and Git flow

o Knowledge of legacy tiles/struts frameworks and jQuery
