Position Overview:

We are looking for a experienced Fractional HR Manager to join our team. This is a 20 hours per week, based role in Santa Clara, CA.
In this role, you will Own end-to-end HR, including onboarding, payroll, compliance, and employee engagement, in close relationship with the Global Head of HR based in Paris.

What you’ll do:

 HR General Administration:

•  Recruitment Support: Assist in the local recruitment process.

• HR Contracts: Draft, manage, and oversee US employee contracts,
• HR Compliance: Ensure adherence to labor laws, tax regulations, and health/safety standards, in accordance with the Legal Team.
• Safety and Security Compliance
• Onboarding: Organize the onboarding process, including welcome briefings, setting up the office, IT systems, and required software.
• HR Administration: Manage administrative HR tasks such as payslips, social benefits, time-off tracking, and expenses. (Lucca and Gusto)
• Benefits & Perks in the US
• Offboarding: Handle the administrative and procedural aspects of employee offboarding, aligned with the Global Head of HR.
• Policy Updates: Regularly update HR policies and communicate changes effectively.
• HR Technology: Implement and manage HR tools and systems for time tracking, recruitment, and employee engagement.
  
  

Finance Operations

• Expense Management: Oversee staff expenses and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Supplier Administration: Manage supplier contracts, invoicing, and related documentation
  
  

Office Management

• IT and Software Administration: Manage IT systems, software purchases, and user administration.
• Office Space Management: Oversee office-related tasks such as managing meeting rooms, handling mail, and maintaining the workspace.

Communication

• Internal Communication: Support internal communication through platforms like Slack and Notion.
• Event Management: Assist in planning and organizing events, including keynotes, team-building activities (both onsite and remote)
  
  

Transversal Responsibilities

• Process Development: Contribute to testing, building, documenting, and running processes in an early-stage company.

• International Scope: While focusing on the USA team, provide support for Europe/IND operations as needed,
  

What you’ll need to be successful:

• 8-10+ years in HR
• Accustomed to working in startup
• Used to international environment
• Results oriented
• Financial acumen
• Deep understanding of California State laws and Bay area HR landscape.
