Job Description The ePlane Company is seeking a full-time Fight Control Systems Engineer to join our team based in Chennai. As a Fight Control Systems Engineer, you will
1. Derive flight control system requirements from aircraft level/ system level/subsystem level requirements 2. Design controllers focusing on handling qualities and aerodynamic performance. 3. Build control laws for effector allocation, failure handling, and fault detection. 4. Experience with hardware and software associated with Flight Control Systems, Avionics, Electrical System, inertial sensors, air data computers, analog sensors, mission systems, actuation devices etc. 5. Participate in system level testing, software debugging, and flight data review. 6. Perform analysis for stability margins, handling qualities, and control authority 7. Work with test pilots to define handling and flying characteristics. 8. Participate in mission planning and scenario simulations. 9. Experience with software development in real-time operating systems (RTOS) environment utilizing Model Based Design (MBD) techniques with tools such as 10. MathWorks MATLAB / Simulink with Stateflow and Embedded Coder. 11. Familiarity with System Safety Assessments, Failure Hazard Analysis, and Certification/Test plans 12. Provide in-person support during flight test activities. Tech Skills Required 1. Knowledge in classical controls, modern state-space controls, and numerical optimization. 2. Knowledge in multi-body dynamics, aerodynamics, and electrical propulsion/powertrain systems. 3. Knowledge in digital signal processing and real-time embedded systems. 4. Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++. 5. Strong oral and written communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical team members 6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualification 1. Bachelor's Degree in EEE/ ECE or related field and 3+ years of experience in relevant domain (Or) 2. Master's Degree in EEE/ ECE or related field and 2+ years of experience in relevant domain (Or) 3. PhD Degree in EEE/ ECE or related field and 1+ years of experience in relevant domain
