We are seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Controller to lead our financial management processes in the US. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial awareness, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record in compliance and financial operations. This role is crucial in supporting our strategic objectives and ensuring rigorous adherence to tax regulations and internal controls in the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Oversee all aspects of financial management, including general ledger maintenance, monthly financial reporting, cash flow analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial decision-making, provide strategic insights, develop financial models, and ensure alignment with business objectives for sustainable growth
  • Tax Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Manage US state and federal tax filings with a focus on full regulatory compliance. Assist in preparing transfer pricing documentation and ensure adherence to R&D tax credits and incentive programs, particularly in the US and Australia.
  • Internal Controls & Reporting: Establish robust internal controls and ensure accurate preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Growth Mindset: Continuously enhance financial processes with a focus on automation, efficiency, and scalability to support our company’s growth trajectory.

Skills and Expeirence

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Accounting accreditation is required such as CPA or CMA
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Controller or similar role, with strong expertise in compliance, audits, and tax management.
  • 2+ years of experience in finance, sales operations, business analysis, or a similar role.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, BI tools, or CRM systems).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies and best practices is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial roles, including contract negotiation, client management, and deal execution.
  • Background in SaaS technology for healthcare, commercial real estate, or an adjacent technology industry (e.g., real estate tech, proptech, digital health).
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex deals and cultivating long-term client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of contract terms, pricing structures, and commercial risk.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a high level of commercial awareness.
