Finance serves as a strategic business partner across Shield AI, creating value by aligning with the organization to provide quantitative insights that drive better decision-making. We collaborate at all levels of the company, acting as proactive teammates and recognizing our teammates as our customers. In this role, you will leverage your analytical skills to complete a meaningful project that supports your learning within the Finance organization while contributing to the team's success—and ultimately, to our customers' success. You will gain a deep understanding of our business, assist in data collection, and identify actionable trends. Your involvement will include reporting, forecasting, and developing dashboards that enhance the decision-making process for our customers. Additionally, you will acquire invaluable hands-on experience in improving accuracy and streamlining processes through automation, empowering both the team and our customers to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness.
What you'll do:
Assist in creating and assessing analyses and reports that deliver valuable insights to decision-makers.
Interns will receive a top-level view of Shield AI Finance while supporting the following finance areas:
Financial Planning & Analysis
Accounting
Program Finance
Pricing/Proposal Development
Required qualifications:
Undergrad Intern: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree and expected graduation of December 2025 or Summer 2026
Studying one of the following disciplines: Analytics, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Math, or another related field
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables, complex formulas)
Results driven self-starter with analytical proficiency and the ability to innovate.
Preferred qualifications:
Data visualization skills such as proficiency in PowerBI or Tableau
DAX, VBA and SQL knowledge
Demonstrated attention to detail, experience in in-depth data mining, and a methodical approach to tasks, paired with a strong focus on understanding the broader context
