EY GDS – Data and Analytics (D&A) – Informatica (Data Engineer)

We’re looking for candidates with strong technology and data understanding in data engineering space, having proven delivery capability. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm as well as a part of a growing Data and Analytics team.

Job Summary:

As a Senior Consultant with a specialization in Informatica, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes and data integration solutions for our clients. Your expertise in Informatica tools will enable you to deliver scalable and efficient data workflows that support business intelligence, data warehousing, and data management initiatives.

Your key responsibilities

• Design and develop ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter to extract data from various source systems, transform the data according to business rules, and load it into target data warehouses or data marts.
• Work with business analysts and data architects to understand data integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Optimize Informatica workflows for performance and scalability, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during development, testing, or production phases.
• Implement data quality and governance practices within ETL processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Informatica solutions with other data platforms and applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, including code reviews and guidance on best practices.
• Manage data integration projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
• Document all ETL and data integration processes, including data lineage and metadata management.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 3-8 years of industry experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data integration and ETL development, with a strong focus on Informatica PowerCenter.
• Proficiency in SQL and understanding of relational databases, such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Experience with Informatica PowerExchange and other Informatica tools is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on complex data challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven project management capabilities and the ability to lead projects to successful completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Informatica certification or equivalent professional training.
• Experience with cloud-based data integration services such as Informatica Cloud, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or Google Cloud Dataflow.
• Knowledge of data warehousing methodologies, including dimensional modeling and data marts.
• Familiarity with big data technologies and NoSQL databases.
• Prior consulting experience with a track record of delivering high-quality data solutions to clients across various industries.
