Ibotta is seeking an Enterprise Architect - Machine Learning to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. You will be leading the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions for our organization. As an AI Architect, you will play a critical role in shaping our AI strategy and driving innovation across key initiatives and various business units across Ibotta. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities, overcome challenges, and deliver impactful AI-powered solutions. You’ll be a leader within Ibotta, inspiring and motivating others to excel in their roles.

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing:

  • Advise on solving Ibotta business problems for key initiatives at the confluence of business, technology, and business processes by leveraging AI, ML, and advanced analytics technologies and techniques

  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders across different departments to understand their unique requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions; You'll be a key communicator, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical capabilities to ensure alignment and successful project delivery

  • Define and maintain the overall AI/ML architecture and roadmap for key initiatives, aligning with business objectives and technology trends

  • Drive the design and development of AI/ML models in partnership with data scientists across Ibotta, including model selection, training, optimization, production deployment, and monitoring

  • Design and implement AI solutions that are robust, scalable, and optimized for performance while ensuring that these solutions can handle the demands of large datasets, complex computations, and evolving business requirements 

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data scientists, engineers, and other architects in fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning. You'll be a leader within Ibotta, inspiring and motivating others to excel in their roles.

  • Evaluate and select AI technologies by researching and recommending appropriate AI tools, frameworks, and platforms to meet specific business needs

  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and principles in the development and deployment of AI solutions.

  • Define and champion a comprehensive AI architecture and roadmap, aligning it with our overarching business goals, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring it remains adaptable to the ever-changing AI landscape

  • Spearhead the design and development of AI models, applications, and systems, encompassing the entire lifecycle from conception and prototyping to deployment and ongoing maintenance; which includes selecting and implementing appropriate AI tools, frameworks, and platforms, while considering factors such as scalability, security, and maintainability

What we are looking for:

  • 8+ years of experience as an AI Architect or comparable role, showcasing a successful history of designing, developing, and production deployment of AI/ML solutions in complex environments

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required

  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts, techniques, and algorithms; preference for those with experience in recommender, optimization, and classification domains

  • Proficiency in AI programming languages (e.g., Python) and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn), along with experience in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g. Spark) 

  • Experience with Databricks and AWS a plus

  • Effective communicator, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences 

  • Excellent collaboration skills with ability to work effectively with diverse teams. Solid systems thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes, develop creative solutions, and make sound technical decisions

 Additional Details:

  • This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, Employee Stock Purchase Program, and 401k match. Denver office perks include paid parking, bagel Thursdays, snacks and occasional meals.

  • Base compensation range: $200,000-$230,000. Equity is included in overall compensation package. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
