Syte.ai seeks a talented and motivated Software Engineering Team Lead to oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of a squad responsible for our product-related data flows. As the team lead, you will guide a team of software and data engineers in designing and managing scalable data pipelines, ensuring high-quality data processing and availability for key business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management:

• Lead and manage a team of software developers and data engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and skill development plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data infrastructure with business needs.

Technical Ownership & Development:

• Design, implement, and optimize scalable data pipelines and architectures for large-scale data processing.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability by establishing best practices and monitoring systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues to ensure continuous improvement.
• Drive innovation by evaluating new data technologies and tools to improve data engineering practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

Development Expertise:

• 3+ years of experience in software development and data engineering.
• 4+ years of programming languages such as Python (preferably).
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data pipeline design.
• Deep knowledge of software architecture design and REST API
• Experience with Databases such as MongoDB, ElasticSearch
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and other modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical designs for new features, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with business goals.

Leadership & Communication:

• Prior experience managing or leading technical teams in an agile environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a desire to continuously learn and improve.
• Strong sense of ownership, taking responsibility for the team's success, driving projects from inception to completion with a focus on high-quality deliverables.
