As an Engineering Manager - Data Science, you will lead a team building high-impact data products and algorithms to supercharge our understanding of our data, improve data quality and data ingestion, and answer questions we did not know existed. This will enable trust and transparency, automation, intelligence-based decision-making, and an overall data-driven culture across the entire value chain. Location: Oslo
What you will be doing
Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business leaders, to define data requirements and deliver solutions that align with Xeneta’s strategic objectives.
Design and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze large datasets and generate actionable insights.
Stay ahead of emerging technologies and techniques in data science and machine learning, advocating for their adoption where appropriate.
Communicate complex analytical results and technical projects to non-technical stakeholders, influencing decision-making at all levels of the company.
You will be developing and deploying your own data pipelines with feature engineering, model training, and everything else you might need.
You will perform complex data analysis and reports, communicate insights tailored to different audiences, and make recommendations based on your findings that contribute to company strategic decisions.

Your experience
5+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related role, with a proven track record of leveraging data to drive significant business impact
A Master’s degree or higher within a technical/engineering field or quantitative field, like Computer Science, Physics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics,or a related field
Experience in leading high-performing teams
Experience with SQL and Python
Experience with cloud computing services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Fluent in English, oral and written
