The AI Factory team focuses on developing and delivering cutting edge technologies to improve patient care. Our vision is to provide proactive care and smart recovery to our patient community who are fighting cardiovascular disease through innovative connected solutions. In this role, the Engineer II will be working alongside Product Engineering Leads in developing various desktop, web, and mobile software fueled by a robust AI engine that will improve patient care.

How you will make an impact:

  • Participating in agile development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and business to align on project goals and requirements.
  • Conducting demos to showcase progress and gather feedback.
  • Conducting research on open-source tools and ML techniques relevant to the medical domain.
  • Developing robust and scalable software solutions using Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Designing and developing ML models, integrating various data sources and algorithms.
  • Working with ML frameworks and libraries, such as PyTorch, MONAI, and Scikit-learn.
  • Managing and preprocessing data for ML model training.
  • Conducting experiments, analyzing results, and reporting on the performance and limitations of the models, as well as suggesting improvements and new directions for future research and development.

What you’ll need (Required):

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 2 years of software industry experience or Master’s degree in Computer Science Required.

What else we look for (Preferred):

  • Demonstrated experience with developing and launching large scale software
  • Demonstrated experience with Git
  • Python or other Object-Oriented Programming and troubleshooting skills preferred
  • Experience with mobile app development on iOS or Android preferred
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, JavaScript, and SQL
  • Familiar with medical imaging and computer vision preferred
  • Experience with Cloud Services like AWS or Azure preferred
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to identify and implement relevant techniques to specific business problems
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of computer science fundamentals
  • Extensive troubleshooting/debugging skills

For California, the base pay range for this position is $85,000 to $120,000 (highly experienced).
