DUTIES: Develop and deploy machine learning algorithms using data engineering and Databricks for cluster-management, job scheduling, and development; design dashboard visualizations using Looker and LookML language; write queries using SQL; write ETL jobs using PySpark; use Git; utilize AWS technologies including S3, Glue, DynamoDB, and Athena; evaluate accuracy and functionality of machine learning algorithms; translate application requirements into machine learning problem statements; analyze and evaluate solutions both internally generated as well as third party-supplied; develop novel ways to use machine learning to solve problems and discover new products; implement, refine and validate machine learning algorithms for products and applications; take action on existing specifications of designs and developing data pipelines consisting of data ingest, data validation, data cleaning and data monitoring; train machine learning models, validate the accuracy of the machine learning models once trained and deploy validated machine learning models into production; research, write and edit documentation and technical requirements, including evaluation plans, confluence pages, white papers, presentations, test results, technical manuals, formal recommendations and reports; contribute to the company by creating patents, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and other intellectual property; test and evaluate solutions presented to the Company by various internal and external partners and vendors; design proof of concept solutions and contribute to studies to support future product or application development. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and one (1) year of experience developing and deploying machine learning algorithms using data engineering and Databricks for cluster-management, job scheduling, and development; designing dashboard visualizations using Looker and LookML language; writing queries using SQL; writing ETL jobs using PySpark; using Git; and utilizing AWS technologies including S3, Glue, DynamoDB, or Athena.
