Position Summary

We are seeking an individual who is experienced in the Electronics field to join our team. Rekor specializes in the installation and maintenance of in-road traffic sensors and off-road components. We maintain, service, and troubleshoot traffic sensors with software and hardware throughout various states in the U.S.

The ideal candidate should be well versed in hardware and software deployment, specifically in the technology industry. A highly energetic individual who is knowledgeable about and/or interested in the transportation technology industry and business savvy to deliver state of the art cutting edge technology solutions for our customers. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Travel around the state of SC and sometimes outside of the state performing service calls
  • Inspections: Pre and Post Construction inspections of potential installation locations documenting the unique requirement for the site. 
  • Installation and Maintenance: Installing, configuring, and maintaining traffic data collection equipment, such as counters and cameras
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs:  Identifying and resolving technical issues with data equipment, including troubleshooting, diagnosing problems, and making necessary repairs or replacements
  • Calibration and Quality Control: Calibrating equipment to maintain accuracy, performing routine quality control checks, and ensuring all systems are functioning correctly.
  • Data Quality Checks:  Ensuring accurate data is being collecting from traffic collection equipment.  

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Experience in Electronics Field
  • Knowledge of electronic test equipment (LCR meters, Oscilloscopes, Multi-meters, earth ground testers and wire locating devices 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Effective planning, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to shift priorities quickly and be flexible.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to take quickly process information and adjust plans and schedules.
  • Ability to interpret technical discussions and summaries from engineers.
  • Must have or be able to obtain CJIS Certification
  • General IP Cameras Knowledge 

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift 80lb batteries
  • Work daytime and nighttime hours if needed
  • Drive a company vehicle
  • Ability to work outdoors year round for long periods of time all climates.
