Ever wondered what it feels like to be an Electrical Engineer Domain Expert on Analytics and AI Projects in Netcompany-Intrasoft?

Joining us as an Electrical Engineer Domain Expert on Analytics and AI Projects, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), supporting the development of AI/ML solutions for Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), Transmission System Operators (TSOs), and Energy Producers. Your primary responsibility will be to provide expertise in distribution or transmission related network assets and their operations, enabling data science teams in developing accurate predictive models for maintenance, network analysis, and operational efficiency.

As an Electrical Engineer Domain Expert on Analytics and AI Projects you will:

• Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to provide technical insights into the operation and maintenance of electricity distribution networks and/or transmission systems
• Provide expertise in the operation and maintenance of primary assets such as transformers, circuit breakers, reclosers, fault passage indicators, high, medium and low voltage lines, and electricity meters and/or transmission system assets such as autotransformers, shunt reactors, GIS bays, etc
• Guide the development of asset health and predictive maintenance models by applying knowledge of asset lifecycles and failure modes
• Assist in analyzing network losses and improving operational efficiency using data from the distribution / transmission network
• Support efforts in automating field inspections and vegetation management, ensuring that models align with industry standards and safety regulations
• Provide technical guidance on integrating online monitoring systems and interpreting data to enhance asset management and business reporting

Qualifications

What would make you a fit for the role:

• Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering focused on Energy. A master’s degree in AI-related field is a plus
• Strong understanding of distribution network operation, transmission system operation, assets and their maintenance practices, including distribution transformers, SF6 or vacuum circuit breakers, autotransformers, shunt reactors, and electricity meters
• Familiarity with maintenance strategies like Predictive Maintenance (PdM), Condition Based Maintenance (CBM), and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
• Familiarity with online monitoring systems used for monitoring asset health and performance in distribution networks
• Basic understanding of AI/ML principles to collaborate effectively with data science teams
• Knowledge of Asset Performance Management (APM) tools such as IBM Maximo or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of Python / Jypyter Notebooks is a plus
• Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken
