About the role

We are seeking a Drilling Coordinator located in Houston to manage and coordinate rig movements while ensuring that all required documentation is accurately delivered through email or our parsing engine, Fusion. This role is also responsible for onboarding rigs and record types through Fusion to maintain the most accurate and prompt metadata in the Corva platform. Additionally, the Drilling Coordinator will participate in an on-call rotation every other week, covering evenings during weekdays and every other weekend, to manage any new well information that is delivered.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate and resolve day-to-day operational issues related to rig movements and well start-up.
  • Gather and validate new well information to ensure timely and accurate data entry.
  • Ensure all required documentation is submitted through email or Fusion.
  • Onboard rigs and record types through Fusion to optimize metadata accuracy in the Corva platform.
  • Review all data for accuracy and completeness before reporting to the Operations team.
  • Monitor and complete pending data entry requests on schedule while identifying and reporting any potential issues to management.
  • Identify anomalies and problematic data, ensuring the highest level of data quality.
  • Follow established communication protocols for various customers to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Provide recommendations to the Operations Lead for process improvements.
  • Assist with daily QC as needed.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation every other week, covering weekday evenings and every other weekend, to manage incoming well information.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the drilling industry.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as part of an on-call rotation.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to enter accurate data and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Proficiency in navigating modern web-based platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify anomalies and problem data.
  • Previous Drilling Tech experience
  • Experience in writing, running, and managing basic Python scripts.
  • Understanding of XML and JSON formats, with the ability to manipulate and transform data in these formats.
