Role Overview:

In partnership with a global technology leader, DeepSource is seeking a Disaster Recovery Manager. This pivotal role entails ensuring the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust disaster recovery (DR) strategies, protocols, and plans. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in DR planning and management, possess strong leadership skills, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities: 

• Manage the end-to-end development, implementation, and maintenance of DR strategies and plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess critical business processes, identify vulnerabilities, and establish recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs).
• Coordinate the selection and deployment of DR technologies, tools, and solutions, including backup systems and off-site data storage.
• Lead the creation and documentation of DR procedures, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and compliance requirements.
• Organize, lead, and participate in regular DR drills and exercises to test plan effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and ensure team preparedness.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to DR services and solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring effective collaboration during DR incidents.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and developments in DR, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and enhancement.
• Lead incident response efforts during DR events, overseeing communication, decision-making, and timely resolution of issues.
• Prepare and present reports on DR metrics, performance, and continuous improvement efforts to key stakeholders and senior management.

Requirements

• Proven of at least 5 years experience in developing and managing disaster recovery strategies and plans.

• Strong knowledge of DR technologies, tools, and solutions, including backup systems and off-site data storage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in DR, as well as compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Preferred certifications include Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar credentials.
