Global Operations, Product Data Operations, and Scaled Operations
As a critical component of Global Operations, Product Data Operations (PDO) and Scaled Operations play vital roles in driving business outcomes. PDO provides the data and insights that power machine learning and AI, fueling the core of all Meta products. In particular, PDO is instrumental in the success of GenAI programs, offering strategic leadership, oversight, and operational excellence.
Scaled Operations oversees outsourcing efforts and manages vendor performance, ensuring seamless execution and optimal results. In close collaboration with PDO, these teams within Global Operations form a powerful partnership that propels Meta's innovation and growth.
The Role: Director Scaled Operations, Product Data Operations
Meta is seeking a visionary executive to spearhead our Scaled Operations, AI Operations team. As a Director within Scaled Operations, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth, fostering innovative partnerships, and optimizing operational efficiency. We're looking for an exceptional individual who embodies the following qualities:

Director, Scaled Operations (AI Operations) Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive workforce strategy, leverage industry research and market intelligence, and develop vendor management strategies that maximize value and minimize risk
- Oversee end-to-end scaled operations including vendor operations, change management, workforce planning, budget management, learning, quality and technology
- Drive continuous improvement of operational processes and systems, establish metrics and KPIs to measure operational effectiveness, develop crisis management and business continuity plans
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key global vendors and partners, negotiate complex contacts and service level agreements, ensure that vendors deliver supply and capacity that meets Meta’s demand and deliver quality, and drive cost optimization while maintaining service quality
- Lead, develop and mentor a global team of operations professionals within a global, matrixed organization
- Collaborate cross functionally with Product, Engineering, Data Analytics, Global Operations, Business Development, Finance, Legal, and HR
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in global outsourcing at scale, vendor management, operations leadership, or related field
- Proven track record of leading and managing teams across a global matrixed organization
- Proven communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience interfacing with C-Suite stakeholder
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or related degree
- Experience in managing operations for AI/ML annotation projects
- Knowledge of GenAI LLM annotation processes and technologies and outsourcing human data annotations
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
