Are you a passionate product leader with a vision for Enterprise Data and AI Platforms?

In this critical role, you'll lead a cross-functional team of product and engineering experts to shape the future of our Enterprise Data & AI Platform. You'll be responsible for driving the roadmap for our core data platform (Code Orange) and leading the strategic alignment and adoption of Code Orange for multiple harmonized mesh nodes.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the Charge on Code Orange through Platform Capabilities: Own the platform strategy, technology roadmap, and investment plan for Code Orange. Oversee both the data platform and AI platform pillars, ensuring they work seamlessly together to deliver powerful insights on trusted enterprise data.

    • Data Platform Pillar: Lead the development and evolution of the data platform, focusing on an end-user experience for discovering and searching for data. Ensure that the data is clean, connected, and secure.

    • AI Platform Pillar: Lead the development and evolution of the AI platform, focusing on machine learning model development, deployment, management, and the end-user experience for discovering and accessing models. Ensure responsible AI practices, including model security, monitoring, and reusability (when appropriate), are embedded throughout the platform.

  • Lead Code Orange BU Aligned Nodes: Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Enterprise node with data coverage for corporate functions like finance, procurement, legal, human resources, etc. within Code Orange mesh architecture. Ensure alignment of these nodes with the overall Code Orange strategy and roadmap.

  • Deliver Business Value: Lead the development and execution of a combined roadmap for both technical deliveries and business deliverables, ensuring they effectively meet KPIs and support our overall strategy.

  • Build and Manage a High-Performing Team: Lead and mentor a team of direct reports and engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

  • Talent Development: Build and develop a world-class data and AI team, including hiring, training, and mentoring. Drive data and AI upskilling across all data teams to ensure the organization stays current with emerging trends like Gen AI and responsible AI.

  • Financial Management: Prepare, maintain, and monitor respective budget(s) for external support, technology procurement, and consultancy work. Manage cloud spend and continually optimize across datasets and domains.

  • Strategic Partner Management: Manage relationships, contracts, and enterprise adoption of strategic partners (Snowflake, Databricks, Thoughtspot) to maximize value creation and alignment with GSK's data and AI strategy.

  • Strategic Vision: Develop and articulate a long-term vision for the Enterprise Data & AI Platform that aligns with GSK's overall business objectives and industry trends.

  • Champion Responsible AI Enterprise-Wide: Support the needs of AI Governance Council (AIGC) and Data & AI Federation, ensuring alignment between the two bodies. Drive the development and implementation of responsible AI policies, standards, and guidelines across GSK. Additionally, lead audits and enterprise-wide practitioner trainings to foster a culture of responsible AI.

  • Change Management: Lead organizational change efforts related to data and AI adoption, including developing change management strategies and plans.

Why You?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with data platforms, enterprise architecture, and data governance processes. Technology experience with any of the following: MS Azure, Databricks, Collibra, Snowflake or Denodo

  • Experience with specific data and AI for corporate functions data sets and SAP technologies.

  • Experience with agile methodologies (SAFe).

  • Experience in technical architecture for data and AI platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of ethical AI principles and a commitment to developing responsible AI solutions.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

  • Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Experience working with JIRA and Confluence for project management and documentation.
