Job Title: Director of Global FAE’s  Job Location: San Jose, CA  Job ID: AI2380  Job Description:  Role and accountabilities: The role needs to be focused on Customer Design wins. The success of this role is to partner with sales and achieve design wins, deliver customer satisfaction, observe and deploy technical market trends and competitive solutions. They must demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership, technical expertise and program manage all supporting functions to deliver the technical solution. Towards this, the incumbent needs to build a team of highly competent FAEs who can deliver solutions by handholding customers at site and remotely. Finally, build a process to scale FAE competence across the globe.  This role encompasses the below key areas of responsibility:   
  1. Create and implement an operating strategy to recruit, train and build hands-on expertise and capability of the global FAE team. 
  2. Engage with sales and business teams to maximize bookings, design wins and revenue efforts, by ensuring successful completion of major customers projects.
  3. Drive technical program leadership with account managers, program managers and apps engineering to reduce program risks and accelerate production schedule on major customer projects. 
  4. Build and deploy robust technical and business operating practices/protocols to build global FAE team capability and customer success. 
  5. Directly manage key customer accounts, and lead as a technical expert; involve and coordinate other functional teams to handle customer opportunities. 
  6. Train global technical support teams across Reps, Distis, and Partners
  7. Engage and resolve critical escalations and ensure that issues are resolved, while keeping stakeholders informed of progress and resolution. 
  8. Set, track and report metrics and KPIs', as applicable to FAE team. 
  9. Build and make available design-in and product documentation and training/help materials (ie technical white papers and application notes).
  10. Perform product technical presentations, technical proposals, demonstrations, or reference designs to customer engineering groups highlighting our features and advantages over the competitions.
  11. Build technical expertise in various products and related technologies, including product specifications, technologies, competitive analysis, customer user cases, etc. 
  Experience and expertise areas: 
  1. 15+ years of pre and post sales Applications Engineering and technical customer support experience, in most preferably AI applications and embedded applications with semiconductor IP as a focus.
  2. Bachelor degree (or higher) preferably in computer science or electrical or electronics engineering. MS/MBA is highly preferred.
  3. Demonstrated hands-on technical leadership experience of global technical teams in supporting customers and partners.
  4. Demonstrated hands-on technical program execution and management experience of customer facing engagements (ie enable design wins, systems/product deployment)
  5. Able to work independently and excel in a collaborative environment.
  6. Solid communicator, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  7. Use skills as a seasoned, experienced technical professional with an understanding of industry practices; resolves a wide range of issues using innovative way as well as practical method.
  8. Strong problem-solving capability to interface customer needs and resources with energetic and proactive approaches.

Good communication skills.  The Annual base salary for this position ranges from $210000 to $277700 plus an annual variable incentive (MBO/sales-commission). The actual annual salary paid for this position will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skills, prior experiences, qualifications, expertise, work location, total target compensation, training, company needs, and current market demands.
