We are seeking an enthusiastic and community-oriented Developer Relations Advocate to manage our thriving Discord community and promote Tenstorrent's opensource AI initiatives. This role will sit within the AI Product team and serve as a crucial bridge between our product development efforts and the community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about AI technology, enjoy interacting with developers, and have a talent for creating engaging content and fostering meaningful discussions in the AI ecosystem.

This role is hybrid, based out of Austin, TX and Santa Clara, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Community Management and Product Liaison:
    • Manage and grow the Tenstorrent Discord community, ensuring a positive and inclusive environment for all members.
    • Act as the primary liaison between the AI Product team and the community, facilitating two-way communication to inform product decisions and community initiatives.
    • Gather and synthesize community feedback to provide valuable insights to the product team for feature development and improvements.
    • Communicate product updates, roadmaps, and new features to the community in an engaging and understandable manner.
  • Opensource Advocacy:
    • Promote Tenstorrent's opensource AI projects and tools within the developer community.
    • Contribute to opensource projects and encourage community contributions.
    • Create tutorials, blog posts, and documentation to support developers using Tenstorrent's opensource offerings.
  • Developer Relations:
    • Represent Tenstorrent at conferences, meetups, and other industry events (virtual or in-person).
    • Build relationships with key developers, influencers, and partners in the AI community.
    • Organize and host virtual events such as webinars, hackathons, and tech talks to keep the community active and engaged.
  • Content Creation:
    • Develop technical content including blog posts, tutorials, videos, and social media posts to educate and engage the AI developer community.
    • Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to create developer-focused materials that align with company goals and product strategy.
  • Technical Support and Productive Feedback:
    • Provide first-line support for developers using Tenstorrent's AI tools and technologies.
    • Troubleshoot basic technical issues and escalate complex problems to the appropriate teams.
    • Collect and organize product feedback from the community to inform the AI Product team's decision-making process.
  • Metrics and Reporting:
    • Track community metrics and prepare regular reports on engagement, growth, and developer satisfaction for both the community and product teams.
    • Analyze trends in the AI community and provide insights to inform product and community strategies.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest and basic understanding of AI and machine learning concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with community management platforms, particularly Discord.
  • Familiarity with opensource development practices and tools (e.g., Git, GitHub).
  • Basic programming skills, preferably in Python, and familiarity with AI frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships in both virtual and in-person environments.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for community building and developer engagement.
  • Previous experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, or community management.
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining opensource projects.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in AI and machine learning.
  • Familiarity with content creation tools for graphics, video editing, or technical writing.
  • Experience working closely with product teams and translating technical concepts for various audiences.

Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
