ICF is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, multi-faceted consulting company, seeking a DevOps Engineer to support our work across HHS and NIH. We look for someone who loves to learn and is passionate about their work.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in DevOps and application development, experience with relevant tools and frameworks, and a passion for continuous learning and innovation.

Working standard Eastern Time is expected. (100% Remote)

What you’ll be doing:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation for applications.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure for scalability and reliability.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and ensure security best practices are followed.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ensure system availability, performance, and security through proactive monitoring and incident response.
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency through scripting and tool development.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our DevOps practices.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field: Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• 3 or more years’ experience in a DevOps Engineer or related role.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Circle CI, Jenkins).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Desired Requirements:

• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
• Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
• Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
