As a Data Scientist/Analyst in (Air-)Transport you join our team of experts to lead and manage the design and development of airport projects ensuring they meet the highest standards and expectations.

Within our projects, you will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to understand their needs and to get to the heart of their requirements. You’ll be responsible for developing the right solution, not just any solution – even if that means trying something new and resisting well-trodden paths.

Profile

As a Data Scientist/Analyst in (Air-)Transport you are responsible for bringing together data from different sources and volumes such as commercial, geo or logistical data into a clear structure and overview. From this you will create an analysis that will help airports understand and elaborate on their data.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics, Computer or Data Science, Information Technology, or similar fields of study; or equivalent advance level experience.

  • Five to ten years of experience in data analytics, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.

  • Advanced level experience seasoned and specialized knowledge in: Data analysis, advanced analytics, data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or optimization project experience.

  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of the industry standards and regulations.

  • Knowledge of both inductive and deductive reasoning and problem-solving approaches.

  • Knowledge in integrating, storing, and processing large amounts of data necessary for analysis and modeling.

  • Skill in one or more data programing languages and open source tools.

  • Skill in one or more data integration and business intelligence tools.

  • Skill in technology platforms and architectures applicable to developing and maintaining self-service data assets.

  • Critical thinking and project management skills.

  • The ability to communicate in an engaging way with strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • The ability to adjust well to a variety of situations and change approaches/methodology, if necessary, in order to effectively and successfully meet objectives.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to achieve the set goals.

  • A passion for creativity, digitalization, and sustainability.

  • Familiarity with the most current and latest software.

  • Willingness to travel.

  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and with an entrepreneurial attitude.

  • You are a team player and have strong communication skills in English, as well as in German or Dutch.

  • Procuring data and performing thorough data analysis.

  • Apply advanced data integration methodologies and tools to massive data sets in order to create solutions which can be utilized in descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.

  • Drive formulation and communication of solutions and options

  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and successful delivery.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.
