Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a talented and versatile Data Science and Business Intelligence Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of data science, data engineering, and business intelligence, and enjoys working closely with Federal clients to drive strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.

  • Using PowerBI, create and manage dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to provide actionable insights.
  • Automate workflows and processes using Power Automate.
  • Create and maintain custom applications using Power Apps
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Implementing and validating predictive and prescriptive models, creating and maintaining statistical models with a focus on big data and incorporating machine learning techniques in your projects
  • Writing programs to cleanse and integrate data in an efficient and reusable manner; mixture of Python, SQL, DAX, and/or M
  • Working in an Agile, collaborative environment, partnering with other data scientists, engineers, consultants, and database administrators of all backgrounds and disciplines to bring analytical rigor and statistical methods to the challenges of predicting behaviors
  • Communicating with internal and external clients to understand and define business needs and appropriate modeling techniques to provide analytical solutions.
  • Evaluating modeling results and communicating the results to technical and non-technical audiences.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Active Top Secret Clearance is required to be considered for this position
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Power BI Developer, or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, SQL, DAX, and/or M
  • Basic understanding of or experience with predictive/prescriptive modeling, linear regression, machine learning, etc.
  • Experience in creating data visualization and reports to showcase/identify rends and report on information in either PowerBI, Tableau, or similar
  • You have a basic understanding of Cloud (AWS, Azure)


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in Microsoft Power BI (DAX &M), Power Apps (Canvas Apps), & PowerAutomate
  • Certified in one or more of the following: Microsoft Power App Maker Certification, Microsoft Data Analyst Associate Certification, Microsoft Data Scientist Certification, and/or Microsoft Data Engineer Certification
  • Experience with data modeling, cleansing, and transformation of large datasets
  • Understanding and analyzing data to generate business insights, and providing specific recommendations, based on those findings, to optimize business results
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python for data analysis, automation, and API creation
  • Knowledge and experience in Databricks
  • Experience in database management, developing and managing data architectures to support data science and BI activities
