As the consumers' needs for local services increase, the local services business at TikTok is expanding quickly to address the opportunity and challenge.The Data Science team of TikTok-Data-Data Science-Local Services team plays a key role in business growth with our professional techniques, valuable insights, and problem solving skills. We are looking for talents who are passionate about Local Services to join us to make something new.
About the Role
The primary role of a Data Scientist for our Data team is to conduct deep analysis of user/merchant behavior, product features ,content ecosystem and platform strategies to generate business insights that could be applied to actionable improving initiatives. You will work closely with cross-function teams, such as PM/Ops/RD/MLE to identify key issues of user experience and business performance
Responsibilities
1. Lead and execute the TikTok Local Services Data Analysis project, providing insights to support business decisions;
2. Based on an in-depth understanding of user traffic, merchants, creators, platforms, and ecosystems, define scientific metrics to accurately reflect the business situation, and through exploratory data analysis to quickly discover potential improvement opportunities in different business and technical directions.
3. Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scientifically reasonable A/B experiments or observational studies, provide suggestions for scientific decision-making and closed-loop iteration, and drive the landing and continuous optimization of data analysis conclusions.
4. Actively think about the business, proactively discover the pain points of the business, find opportunities for improvement of operational efficiency, provide specific and actionable optimization suggestions, and drive the actual improvement of the business.
