Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Scientist, Senior to join our team supporting a large U. S. Government program in Huntsville Alabama or the National Capital Region.

ManTech's Department of Justice Division is seeking a strategic leader for the Enterprise Data Analysis Section (EDAS) Services EDAS Portfolio. The role involves acquiring technical expertise to support IT networks, systems, and initiatives. The position is crucial for the success of FBI missions and requires specialized technical expertise in agile methodologies, particularly the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The SAFe methodology will be used to align Agile teams and deliver capabilities, ensuring effective work prioritization and successful delivery. Experience with SAFe implementation is essential to modernize and enhance capabilities within the EDAS portfolio.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement methods for entity resolution, identifying and linking records across different data sources that represent the same real-world entity (e.g., person, organization, product).
  • Utilize NLP models for tasks such as text classification, sentiment analysis, and entity recognition.
  • Utilize NLG models for tasks such as text summarization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design AI/ML solutions for data analytics.
  • Leverage tools and technologies such as Databricks, Spark, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Python, Scala, CoreNLP, and Transformer for data analytics and modeling.
  • Apply AI/ML techniques to analyze and extract insights from complex data sets.
  • Develop and implement scalable and efficient data processing pipelines for analytics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML solutions into existing systems and workflows.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies, techniques, and algorithms.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to colleagues, subordinates, and government representatives to communicate project updates, recommendations, and findings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, Social Science, Education, Human Resources Development, Psychology, or other related disciplines.
  • Minimum of ten to twelve years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in entity resolution techniques and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in NLP models for text classification, sentiment analysis, and entity recognition.
  • Experience with NLG models for text summarization.
  • Familiarity with tools and technologies such as Databricks, Spark, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Python, Scala, CoreNLP, and Transformer.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or Scala.
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications or advanced degrees in data science, machine learning, or related fields are highly desirable.
     

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active TS clearance
The projected compensation range for this position is $90,200-$149,600. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
