Introduction to team
The Competitive Analysis team is part of Expedia Group’s Product and Technology organization. Our team prepares competitive landscape for all EG Brands, across all platforms. We partner with other teams – Research & Analytics, to map customer engagement data with our findings. Post our comprehensive analysis, we sync-up with Product and Strategy leaders, to discuss the opportunities and threats.
In this role, you will:
Utilize your skills in data modelling, quantitative analysis, data mining, and data visualization to enhance customer experience and drive business results, with a strong emphasis on impactful analytics
Data Collection and Organizing : Gather data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and third-party providers
Data Analysis and Interpretation: Should be having logical and analytical abilities to analyze large datasets by identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies within the data
Data Visualization & Reporting : Create clear and compelling visualizations, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs
Experience and qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering, or related field required
1-2 years of experience with data analysis in a corporate environment required
Highly proficient in SQL and at least one programming language (R/Python) for data structuring, transformation, and visualization
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
Basic experience in using tools like SEMrush would be appreciated
Excellent oral and written skills to communicate complex issues and influence others internally and externally
Excellent quantitative, analytical and thinking skills
Able to work well individually by prioritizing day-to-day tasks
Self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced and fluid environment
