Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their goals and formulate data-driven solutions.
  • Interpret and communicate insights and findings from analyses to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to support the introduction of new products, enhancements to existing products (forms, rates, rules), and/or entry into new markets to reach company profit and growth targets.
  • Develop predictive models and algorithms to address business challenges and opportunities
  • Serve as product expert supporting corporate actions and operational initiatives.
  • Lead product analysis projects within the department, including preparation of product and pricing exhibits to support executive decision makers.
  • Monitor overall product performance on Jewelers Mutual book of business and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
  • Explore new data sources and continually enhance data quality and reliability.
  • Ability to work on complex problems/projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
  • Utilize JM Group or authorized third-party data to perform statistical analysis and data mining to understand current and historical patterns that can be utilized to improve business performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Familiar with Python, R, or Java as it relates to data manipulation and analysis.
  • Familiar with statistical methods and concepts, such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and probability theory.
  • Experience with PowerPivot, SQL, Power BI, and/or other query/reporting skills
  • analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
