Job Title- Data Scientist/ Engineer (Assistant Vice President/ Associate)
Location- Jaipur, India
Role Description
As a team member in Business Management & Analytics group, the employee would be responsible for creating meaningful & reliable MI, dashboards, metrics, forecasting & project management in addition to implementation of the strategies that would help in attaining the group goals, which would include (but not limited to) analyzing the impact of changes to product, portfolio, vendors, headcount related process and procedures.
The Data/ MI function accesses rich data stores in providing global/ regional management information to senior management, the Business, operations teams for planning, steering and review, as well as regulators and internal control functions, both ad hoc and on a regular basis.

Your key responsibilities
- Maintain database, schema, objects using tools and standard SDLC mechanism
- Develop/Enhance Data Integration between disparate sources like applications, databases, shared drives etc.
- Operation and Maintain database code, scheduled jobs
- Data Modelling, user interaction to understand new logics and accordingly engineer draft changes in database objects
- Troubleshooting performance issues and database bottlenecks
- Basic understanding with Agile framework and JIRA tool
- Acquaintance with reporting tools for basic troubleshooting and coordination with reporting visualization teams
- Strong communication and ownership driven attitude.
- Act as the champion for all services launched by the Data/MI team
- Review the effectiveness of service releases, providing any feedback to the Data/MI team on opportunities to further improve the service provided, as well as the release process itself
- Periodically engage with user groups on established services, highlighting opportunities for improvements
- Join applicable ‘show and tell’ sessions, providing input based on user expectation, accumulated through extensive user engagement
- Ensure scope of tasks are fully aligned with local management
- Consolidate and maintain all necessary supporting documentation (sponsors/business cases, sourcing details/contacts, data model, other features)
Your skills and experience
- Minimum Exp. – Associate – 5-6 years, AVP – 10+ years of exp.
- Well versed with SQL, PL/SQL, and Analytical functions.
- Acquaint with Data warehousing, Data Lake fundamentals.
- Strong in database fundamentals on database like SQL server, Oracle etc.
- Acquaint with key integration tools like SSIS, Cloud integration tools etc.
- Acquaint with big data – Hadoop, Scala, Python
- Acquaint about any of the one leading cloud platform – GCP, AWS or Azure, preferable GCP
- An aptitude for data science (tools in use include SQL Server, Hadoop, Tableau, MS Access/ Excel), although no explicit requirement for a hands-on capability
- Excellent communication skills – can instinctively tailor communication in line with target audience, at various levels of the corporate hierarchy, across a range of global locations and functions; will also exemplify DB’s Speak UP culture
- Extremely well-organized - capable of structured and clear planning, accommodating multiple simultaneous tasks effectively and operating to tight schedules
- Able to synthesize user feedback and distil the critical information necessary to inform an effective response by the Data/MI team
- Can operate autonomously, having established with management the necessary parameters informing delivery approach
- Some experience with / an understanding of KYC processes and data is beneficial but not essential
