Job Description

What will you do?

In this role, you will analyze cow behavior in a way that drives the dairy industry forward. You will work with video footage, location, and motion data to generate valuable insights that help farmers detect health issues at an early stage. By analyzing behavior patterns and translating them into practical, data-driven predictions, you will have a direct impact on both cow welfare and the operational success of dairy farmers.

Your key responsibilities:

• Analyzing video and location data to identify health indicators.
• Applying advanced data models (classical machine learning) to translate behavior patterns into actionable insights.
• Developing data-driven predictions that support dairy farmers in managing their herds.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to turn scientific knowledge into practical solutions.
• Continuously improving analytical methods to gain even better insights into cow health.
• Coaching colleagues to help everyone in the team reach their full potential.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who meets the following requirements:

• A completed degree in Robotics, AI, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in data analysis (Python) and classical machine learning.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and C++, with preferably experience in data visualization.
• Interest in IoT technology and/or agricultural innovation is a plus.
• A combination of curiosity, decisiveness, and the ability to translate complex challenges into practical solutions.
• Proven experience in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.
