Help us make a big green dent in the universe. We're on a mission to drive the global renewable energy revolution, and we need loads more people to help us make our vision a reality. Since 2015, Octopus has been on a mission to bring affordable, green energy to the world. With the help of the Kraken technology platform, we’ve become the largest electricity supplier in the UK and now have growing retail operations in 7 other countries. We’ve reinvented energy products with smart, data driven tariffs to balance customer demand with renewable generation - and we’re the biggest investor in renewable generation in the UK. Our partnership with Tokyo Gas has brought the Octopus magic to Japan, and we’re looking to add another data scientist to our team in Tokyo. Data science and analytics has been at the heart of Octopus’s success, driving insights across all facets of the business. We drive understanding of the performance and optimisation of operations teams. Our deep knowledge of the industry and the market allows us to design innovative smart tariffs. We crunch billions of data points daily to supply and manage customers’ energy usage. We do it by hiring smart, curious, and self-driven humans, enabling them with modern data tools and giving them lots of autonomy. Our data team consists of scientists and analysts in each of our retail businesses, and a global data engineering team to support them.
