The DGU RGA IT OT Data & AI Mgmt is looking to recruit a Data Scientist.

What you will do:
- Analyse datasets from various renewable energy sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights for operational efficiency and decision-making;
- Develop and implement predictive models to forecast equipment failures and maintenance needs, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of renewable assets;
- Utilise advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to optimise the performance of renewable energy assets, including wind turbines, solar panels, and hydroelectric plants;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from different sources, ensuring data quality and consistency;
- Develop and optimise machine learning models using Python, including data transformation, feature engineering, and building data pipelines with Databricks and AzureML;
- Support the deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of machine learning models.

What are we looking for:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or a related field or a related field;
- Up to 3 years' professional experience in data scientist roles;
- Good understanding of machine learning algorithms and concepts;
- Good programming knowledge in Python and its math & machine learning packages such as numpy, scikit-learn, pandas, etc;
- Familiarity with Azure and Databricks;
- This role requires strong collaboration with various teams, including solution architects, development, operations, and business teams. Excellent communication skills are essential, as this role involves explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
