Job Summary

NetApp’s Active IQ uses advanced analytics to help automate data center operations, reduce costs, and prevent issues before they happen. Active IQ identifies 98% of technical issues with NetApp products automatically and provides steps to avoid them.

As a Data Analyst in the Active IQ Analytics team, you will analyze product and customer data while also building simple analytical models to solve business problems like identifying sales opportunities and predicting customer needs. To do so, you will work with large datasets from various sources to enhance NetApp’s world class capabilities.

Job Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in Data Science or a related field.
• Familiarity with Python and good skills in AI/ML scripting using Python
• Knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and good skills in developing database queries.
• Understanding of basic algorithms and data structures.
• Exposure to some machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, clustering).
• Basic knowledge of big data technologies like Spark or Hadoop is a plus.
• Familiarity with machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) is a plus.
• Comfortable working in Linux and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics).
• Good communication skills.
• Analytical thinking and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Willingness to learn and perform tasks like data preparation and data transfers.
• Ability to work independently and with teams.
