About the role

The emergence of generative AI is changing the landscape of data science. At Tastewise we believe that with this change, comes a change in the job description of the Data Scientist. The Data Scientist needs to understand LLM’s and gen-AI deeply enough to separate fact from fiction. To identify which “legacy” data science models should now be replaced with gen-AI, and which cannot. In addition the line between Data Science and Data Engineering is becoming thinner by the day, and at Tastewise we expect our Data Scientists to take a project from inception into Production - hence the title of this job description.

Job Description:

We seek an ambitious Data Scientist with a strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of industry experience and a proven track record of developing and deploying end-to-end solutions in a production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work on data science and engineering aspects of projects.
• Develop and deploy AI models and algorithms.
• Research and identify solutions for complex problems.
• Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Drive projects from conception to production.
• Encourage creative thinking and nurture innovative ideas within the team.
• Foster collaboration between different departments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Strong background (both theoretical and practical) in deep learning algorithms.
• Experience developing end-to-end solutions in production.
• Proven experience in Python, particularly in production environments.
• Experience with LLMs.
• Proficiency with cloud services and Docker.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High level of English proficiency.
• Ambitious and business-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with MLOps principles and practices.
• Experience with Agents, Prompt Optimization.
• Proficiency in the data engineering side of projects.
• Participation in meetups or conferences is an advantage.
