What is this position about? 

As a Data Scientist in our team, you'll collaborate closely with business leaders to address our clients' diverse business challenges. Our engagements span across various sectors including marketing, revenue management, customer service, inventory management, and other key aspects of contemporary business. Our Data Science Engineer possesses the business acumen to deploy data-driven solutions across a spectrum of business models and situations. With multiple ongoing projects, including pricing optimization, forecasting, and elasticity simulation, we are excited to explore where your skills and experience align best to make an impactful contribution.

You may work 100% remotely if you are currently living in LATAM or you can always join us at the office in Montevideo, Uruguay!

Job Description

• Developing and deploying advanced Python models for non-linear programming, focusing on SKU pricing optimization to drive business value.
• Hands-on experience in forecasting and time series analysis, with an emphasis on productionalizing code to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Running simulations and experiments on existing models to understand pricing elasticity and refine forecasting strategies.
• Managing data integration and preparing complex datasets for analytics tools to support customer acquisition strategies and operational efficiency.
• Establishing project plans with key milestones, timelines, risk contingencies, and defined ownership to ensure project success.
• Utilizing SQL, Spark, and cloud technologies to build and maintain robust data pipelines that support end-to-end analytical solutions.
• Supporting data quality, cleaning, and integration on an advanced data science platform, identifying data issues, and providing statistical insights for client decision-making.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Advanced Data Science, specializing in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, machine learning, and time series forecasting.
• Proficiency in Python and R, particularly with non-linear programming applications for elasticity and pricing optimization.
• Practical experience in machine learning, forecasting, deep learning, and optimization, including model deployment in production environments.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases.
• Experience in Spark, working with data frames in PySpark or Scala, and cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google).
• Exposure to cloud tools like Databricks and Vertex AI, ideal for model development and deployment, with a focus on streamlining processes for efficiency.

You will need excellent written and verbal English for clear and effective communication with the team.
