Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is seeking a dynamic Data Scientist to analyze large amounts of raw information to find patterns that will help to improve the Intelligence community at Ft Bragg. If you have experience in coding and are a problem solver than you are the right person for this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Provide support and facilitation to all change control boards. Possess familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Configuration Management field. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Undertaking data collection, preprocessing and analysis
- Works in a dynamic team environment to establish and execute a configuration management program for multiple systems/programs in various stages of design, development or operations.
- Control configuration of baselines through Configuration Control Boards. Monitor the incorporation of configuration change items. Contribute to the documentation and life cycle management of changes.
- Presenting information using data visualization techniques
- Maintain configuration control databases and provides status accounting of engineering changes to IPTs and program management.
- Conduct audits of CM activities throughout a projects life cycle to verify compliance with established CM procedures and standards and to verify that CIs and system performance and functionality are compliant with specifications
- Produces reports on software releases related to delivered changes, results from functional testing, and various change management metrics.
- Plans and/or facilitates internal/external configuration audits.
- Train personnel on Configuration Management procedures
- Acts as a liaison between the development and operations teams to communicate changes and expected issues in production environment
- Oversees database development and modification efforts.
- Designs and implements secure, efficient, and accurate databases.
- Building models to address business problems
- Maintains current and accurate knowledge of data storage and management best practices.
- Ensures that databases are designed to meet specifications and requirements at the lowest possible costs.
- Ensures that database projects are completed on time and within estimated costs.
- Develops and maintains documentation and standards.
- Assists Senior Database Analyst and identifies and resolves production and/or applications development problems related to the use of the database management system software or utilities.
- Gathers, organizes, and interprets statistical data from the database to provide reports to, and answer questions from, upper management.
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
- 5+ Years of experience in one or more of the following: Business Analysis, Army Special Operations, Intelligence and or Information Management/ Knowledge Management
- 5+ year sof experience supporting the United States Military preferably SOF elements.
- Certification or 2+ years of experience with a diverse set of analytical tools and suites to include Tableau and Alterix, and familiarity with Python, R, Mathlab and or other coding platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Active DoD TS/SCI
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting, or Computer Science or equivalent work experience required

The projected compensation range for this position is $63750 to $106250 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
