Job Overview: As a Data Engineer at Maverc Technologies, you will join a dynamic team focused on developing and supporting multi-intelligence and multi-domain systems with a comprehensive understanding of object and activity-based models in the intelligence community. You will play a key role in supporting national efforts to mitigate chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats. By leveraging Integrated Biosurveillance (IB), your work will contribute to early detection and warnings, improving situational awareness and enhancing decision-making during critical health-related incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and ingest structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data repositories to create capabilities that meet mission partner requirements, supporting a data analytics and DevOps pipeline for rapid functionality delivery.
  • Maintain all operational aspects of data transfers while ensuring the security posture of the underlying infrastructure, systems, and applications, and monitor the health of the environment through various health-tracking tools.
  • Automate configuration management processes using the latest tools and stay up-to-date with data extract, transfer, and load (ETL) technologies and services.
  • Work independently with general guidance, reviewing architecture to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, right-sizing, and cost reduction to maintain the health of the environment.
  • Apply a strong understanding of data engineering technologies and services, utilizing expertise in databases and various approaches to structuring and retrieving data. Comprehend cloud architectural constructs and support the programmatic establishment and maintenance of cloud environments using vendor consoles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client challenges, prototype new ideas and technologies, and design, implement, schedule, test, and deploy full features and components of innovative solutions.
  • Identify and implement scalable, efficient coding solutions to improve the overall performance and efficiency of the environment.

Requirements

qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 7-10 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 5 years of experience.
  • Experience with Big Data systems and ETL processes.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or MilCloud 2.0.
  • Experience applying DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and automating the process.
  • Proficiency in multiple coding language
