What will you be doing?

The successful candidate shall be highly motivated with a passion for the analytics industry. The candidate must be results-driven, able to work independently, as well as actively participate with a collaborative team. As Data Scientist your role will include to take responsibilities in challenging engagements and generate high quality results and useful/ actionable insights.

Job Responsibilities

Collecting, retrieving, and understanding datasets (combine data from different sources).

Developing and delivering analytics solutions for various Global clients.

Analyzing data and assessing their quality in terms of business sense.

Actively participating in project meetings/calls with local Circana teams.

Handling multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives/key deadlines.

Communicating results and recommendations to Local teams and technical consultants.

Collaborating with business specialists and commercial stakeholders across different teams, including technical consultants, to interpret requirements, understand business objectives and build and deliver advanced analytics initiatives.

Work cross-functionally to identify and answer business objectives using appropriate modeling techniques, utilizing sophisticated statistical analysis

Requirements

MSc degree in Statistics, or similar quantitative field of study.

University degree (BSc) in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or any relevant field.

Minimum 2 years working experience in statistics or data analytics.

Very good knowledge of R or Python in advanced data handling with data table, manipulation, developing automated reporting.

Good level of SQL (e.g. data manipulation, reporting).

UNIX/ LINUX/ bash is a plus.

Knowledge of statistics, classification and time series analysis (random forests, logistic regression, decision trees) will be considered also a plus.

Good organizational skills and ability to multitask on small scale projects to meet tight deadlines.

Ability and willingness to work closely with the team and follow specific processes.

Fluency in verbal and written English is essential. Italian will be considered as a plus.

Eager to learn and grow and have a positive attitude.
