As a Data Scientist, you will be a key member for Priceline’s center of excellence for models- and data-based decision making. You will have the opportunity to build models that leverage advanced analytics, statistics, econometrics, and quantitative methodologies while striving to serve the company’s mission to be the best travel deal maker in the world.
In this role you will get to:
Leverage data analyses, modeling, and visualization tools such as Python and/or R, Jupyter, MySQL, Apache Airflow, Google BigQueryHadoop, Google Dataflow, Google Vertex AI, Google Storage, Tableau, and nd others.
Develop models that leverage data collected from transactional information
Work alongside data engineers, ML engineers, MLops, and Backend API engineers to operationalize models in production.
Work with Data, Product and Technology teams to make inference and drive business decisions based on model outputs.
Define, understand, and test opportunities to improve the product, and measure success of product efforts through forecasting and monitoring of key product metrics to understand trends.
Who you are:
Bachelor or Masters degree in a quantitative or computational field (ie, Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or Physics )
A minimum of 2 years of work experience in data science.
Proficient in a programming language used for data analysis (Python/R) and query knowledge (SQL).
Hands on experience in building statistical or econometrics models in an educational or commercial setting.
Experience with developing, scheduling, and monitoring batch-oriented workflows through platforms like Apache Airflow, Kubeflow, etc.
Experience with ML computing on premise or cloud platforms like Google Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.
Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages is a plus.
Familiarity with the A/B test concept and underlying hypothesis is a plus.
Familiarity with the Agile system is a plus.
Illustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.

Priceline is following a hybrid working model, which includes two days onsite as determined by you and your manager (ideally selecting among Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday). On the remaining days, you can choose to be remote or in the office.
