Senior Sales Reporting Specialist – Data Scientist (Full- Time or Part-Time) 

Your role in a nutshell:

Play a crucial role in leveraging data-driven insights to enable b2b consulting services and sales support as a part of Vodafone Business Germany. Your expertise in machine learning and AI, statistical analysis, and programming will be instrumental in developing cutting-edge solutions. 

What you’ll do: 

• Utilize advanced data analysis and modeling techniques to develop machine learning models for B2B use cases, with a primary focus on technical consulting services and sales support, following an agile working methodology. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, IT and consulting project, to identify business problems and opportunities that can be addressed through data-driven solutions. 
• Collect, preprocess, and clean large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources to ensure high-quality input for machine learning models. 
• Develop and deploy predictive models, recommendation systems, and other machine learning algorithms to drive actionable insights and improve decision-making processes. 
• Continuously evaluate and refine existing models to enhance their performance and accuracy by incorporating new data sources and applying appropriate feature engineering techniques. 
• Conduct statistical analyses to extract meaningful patterns, identify trends, and quantify the impact of different factors on business outcomes. 
• Work with stakeholders to understand their requirements, provide data-driven recommendations, and present findings and insights in a clear and understandable manner. 
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, data science, and relevant technologies, and actively share knowledge within the team.

What you will bring to the team:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. 
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in a B2B and/or telecommunication industry context, with a strong track record of developing and implementing machine learning models. 
• Foundational technical expertise, including both business acumen and strategic thinking, as well as the ability to identify issues and provide innovative data-driven problem solving. 
• Proficient in Python, distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, MapReduce), and Machine Learning Frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow) for data manipulation, analysis, and model development. 
• In-depth understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies, such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, time series analysis, etc. 
• Solid knowledge of machine learning algorithms, including neural networks, XGBoost, decision trees, and ensemble methods. 
• Initial experience with generative AI (e.g., LLM, RAG) and the processing of unstructured data 
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into practical data-driven solutions. 
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.
