About the team

The Data Science team partners with product, commercial and engineering teams to deliver the core components of our industry leading debit routing optimization products.  The team analyzes our enormous data asset and develops routing strategies through mathematical simulation and optimization to benefit our clients. The routing optimization algorithms are then implemented in real time payment processing platform.

What you’ll own

• Managing and mentoring a team of 8-9 Data Scientists, from entry-level to senior levels.
• Supporting the Data Science team and broader Product organization in building, deploying and supporting data driven debit routing services to optimize payments.
• You and your team will work in a cross-functional virtual teams, alongside Product Managers, Architects, Business Analysts and Data Scientists.
• You will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of advanced transaction routing solutions in Python (many data science libraries), R, SQL and Spark etc. and visualizing the results in Excel, Tableau, PowerBI or other visualization tools

Where you’ll own it

• You’ll own it in our thriving global headquarters in Mason, Ohio.

What you bring:

• Experience building and mentoring teams of data scientists
• Experience working with senior stakeholders in commercial, product and engineering teams
• Advanced understanding of statistics, machine learning and data science theory and practice.
• Good programming skills, preferably in Python, R and spark.
• Solid understanding of databases architecture and SQL language
• Experience in delivering within Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence or Big Data projects.
• Experience with Snowflake and Databrick and other cloud-based environment and tools
• Experience working in Agile cross-functional teams in a project-based environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization; specially communicating complex analysis to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

• Experience working with very large volumes of data
• Experience of payments or banking processes
• Experience in cloud computing
• Experience delivering projects using Agile SAFe methodology
