Milliman’s Milwaukee-based Property and Casualty practice is one of the leading experts in P&C insurance matters. We are leading experts in evaluating mortgage collateral for government agencies, mortgage lenders, insurers, reinsurers, and investors. Our consulting work is supported by a powerful toolkit of data analytics solutions informed by years of in-depth work.
The Opportunity
Escalating litigation costs are putting immense pressure on insurance companies to manage expenses effectively. Traditional methods are often time-consuming and lack the analytical depth required to uncover hidden patterns and anomalies in legal expenditures. Milliman Datalytics-Defense® offers a cutting-edge, AI-driven legal spend management solution designed to transform how insurance companies handle legal e-billing. Our platform goes beyond basic invoice review, providing comprehensive analytics to optimize legal spend and claim outcomes.
Our Data Science team relies upon a suite of modeling tools that ranges from Azure ML Studio, including XGboost for GLMs and machine learning to Azure OpenAI ChatGPT fine-tuned models. Data Science Interns support the design and development of high-quality modeling solutions through data processing, analytics, building dashboards and reports, testing the integrity of the fine-tuned model, documentation and other projects. This is a great opportunity for a naturally curious, thoughtful student to apply quantitative techniques in real-world business problem-solving.
