About the role & team   

We are the largest data science team of Swiss Re and are looking for an enthusiastic student, who is passionate about applying cutting-edge AI techniques to real-world challenges. We create global AI-driven products made in Bratislava. While we value a strong foundation in machine learning, we also emphasize robust engineering practices, scalable infrastructure, and deploying AI solutions into production.  

If you join us, you will be able to participate in a variety of interesting initiatives. For example, you will:   

• Design and deploy AI solutions to extract insights from complex legal documents using Generative AI, 

• Build and operationalize machine learning models to estimate life expectancy, 

• Develop AI tools to assess climate risks, 

• Contribute to a wide range of projects in close collaboration with Swiss Re's global network of offices. 

We are a highly skilled and diverse team in Bratislava that solves analytics projects around the globe. Our passion to learn is what connects us. We love to learn new skills and will support you to do the same! We reserve time for studying and organize our own upskilling sessions as well.

About you 

Nobody is perfect and meets 100% of requirements. If you, however, meet some of the criteria below and are genuinely curious about the world of data science, we will be happy to meet you. 

In order to be successful in the role, you need to meet the following criteria: 

• You are studying Computer Science, a statistics program, Math, Physics or other quantitative field. We welcome different levels and help to fill the gaps. 

• You have knowledge of Python 

If you also have the following experience and interests, it is a huge plus: 

• Knowledge of software engineering techniques 

• Experience working with large-scale data pipelines and distributed computing  

• Interest in building production grade data ingestion and transformation pipelines

The minimum gross base salary for this role is 10 EUR/h. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering the skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group.
