Position Specific Description

The position will focus on data science efforts, dashboard development, and risk analysis for the Strategy and Analytics and Credit Risk teams within Revenue Management.

The selected candidate will be working with the Strategy and Analytics Manager and other Business Analysts on staff to support special Data Science and Analytics projects as needed, along with operational deliverables and ad hoc projects using SAS, R, Python, or Excel.

The ideal candidate should have intermediate Python/R or relevant programming language, intermediate knowledge of SQL, effective problem-solving skills, good organizational skills, attention to detail, highly effective oral and written communication skills, and ability to interact with all management levels.

Candidates must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to be considered

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining AI based prediction models to improve business performance
  • Automation through Python scripting and dashboard development
  • Conducting data analysis supporting key business unit initiatives
  • Providing data mining support and ad hoc analyses

Required Qualifications (e.g., education, skills, experience)

  • Proficient in data science, analytics, and data investigation using SQL or other database programs languages to obtain actionable insights
  • Proficient in Python, R, SAS, or other analytics tools
  • Majors: Data Science, Analytics, and Computer Science

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expert in MS Excel
  • Developing cloud-based dashboards identifying actionable trends to support business needs

Any other relevant information that may help in attracting suitable candidates – looking for someone interested in data science related to voice and risk analysis (i.e., building models to predict risk and analyzing customer calls to generate training data).

To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists department with assigned projects
  • Completes challenging projects and assignments
  • Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship
  • Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • High school grad / GED
  • Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
  • Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
